Location

The Black River Valley in the heart of Vastmanland in Southern Sweden. The area gives a feeling of great space and tranquillity, a real wilderness experience. With hundreds of Lakes and Rivers, vast open planes and extensive Taiga Forest.
Climate
The Spring climate can be one of extremes in temperature, from warm sunny days of +20C and chilly mornings, sometimes below freezing. So a combination of clothing is required. More details on the items required will be supplied with your booking confirmation.
Accommodation
We stay in a very comfortable country Hotel, with good home cooked food, Log fires, massive bedrooms , Sauna and above all top class Swedish hospitality.

Photography Sessions
The aim of the workshop is to provide each member of the group, opportunities to photograph all the species on offer at least once during the workshop.
Each day will consist of a early start of around 5-6 am. This will give the best of the morning light,   until around 10.30-11.00am.
We then return to our Hotel for Breakfast, after which you have time to photograph the many birds at the garden feeders or rest, relax and free time until Your afternoon/evening Photography session, around 4pm, until around 8pm.
Detailed notes, on the location ,species, behaviour, camera settings and techniques, will accompany you in the hide. To maximise your opportunities
